Surat: Coronavirus infection is spreading rapidly in Surat. The threat of the UK and South Africa strain is increasing. As per reports, five cases of UK strains and one case of South Africa strain have been reported here. The travel history of three UK strain-infected people has not been revealed here, so it has become clear that the community spread of this strain has started. Actually, information about new strain comes when the patient becomes healthy. Due to this, these matters are being told even more seriously. The cases of UK and South African strains are increasing rapidly in the city. The major reason for this is that a sample report comes from Pune Lab at least 20 days later. It is believed that the corona rules were relaxed at the time of the election, due to which the transition is increasing rapidly. Here Dr. Manish of Smimer Hospital says, 'In cases where the Fity value is less than 25, the samples of those people are sent to Pune for examination. If the fit value is more than 25, then the lab in Pune does not examine it. Reporting from Pune takes at least 20 days.' With this, he further said, 'Till now a total of 40 samples have been sent to Pune. A total of 6 reports are positive, 5 UK strains and 1 South African strain have been found in it.' Apart from him Health Officer, SMC, Dr. Pradeep Umrigar has told that 'In a week, 5 percent of the total infected samples are sent to Pune for examination. All these investigations are being done as per the guidelines of the Central Government.'
