3 senior tata power grid officials arrested, these big allegations levelled

The CBI today arrested three top officials of Tata Power Grid. These three officers have been charged with taking bribes. 93 lakh rupees were also seized in the raid. According to reports received, the central probe agency has arrested three top officers of Tata Power Grid Corporation, Deshraj Pathak, RN Singh and BS Jha have been arrested for demanding a bribe.  

It is alleged that these officers had demanded a bribe from a contractor in Itanagar. Subsequently, the CBI raided 6 locations of these persons, following which about Rs 93 lakh in cash was recovered from one of the residences. So far, six persons have been arrested in this case. The CBI had conducted raids in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Ghaziabad in this case.

Earlier, on July 6, in a corruption case, the CBI had taken major action and raided 16 locations in 5 cities. These include the cities of Jammu, Srinagar, Delhi, Mumbai and Patna. According to the agency, the CBI raid is being conducted following allegations of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik. Satya Pal Malik had alleged in April this year that bribery was committed to awarding the contract for civil work of Kiru Hydro Power Project Limited in the Kishwatwar district. These allegations of Satya Pal Malik had led to a landslide from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi.
