New Delhi: Police detained a 48-year-old man in connection for killing his live-in partner and cutting the body into two parts in southeast Delhi. After doing an act, he threw the body parts on two different places. The accused identified as Balram was arrested on Wednesday from Astha Kunj Park. According to the officer, "he admitted that he had been in a live-in relationship with Anarkali, a native of Tamil Nadu, for the last seven-eight years. He suspected her of having illicit relationship with other men of late”. An argument broke out between an accused Balram with Anarkali 42 years old, after which the woman was being hit with a heavy hammer by the accused. "He then cut her body in two parts.Then he dumped a part in a nearby drainage, and disposed the other part of the body somewhere else in the area," police added. "Thousands of posters of the victim were pasted in the area. The staff of Amar Colony police station also launched a door-to-door drive in Garhi and Jhuggi cluster area to arrest the culprit," Romil Baaniya, DCP (Southeast) said.
