The most painful thing is burning alive. Even a minor burn can causes a large amount of pain. It is very common to get affected by fire while doing day to day activities and cooking but the pain which burn causes is very irritating and it also causes bubbles in skin which are extremely painful. Burns are common injuries and there is a lot of misinformation about how to treat burns at home. Being prepared and knowing how to safely treat a minor burn is important to keep yourself and your kids safe.

There are different types of Burn. First-degree burns are the least severe because only the outer layer of skin is burnt. Second-degree burns, which cause blisters, affect deeper layers of your skin. Third-degree burns affect all layers of the skin. Finally, fourth-degree burns can involve the joints and bones. First and second-degree burns can be treated at home if they are less than three inches in diameter. Here are some easy home remedies to treat burns

Cold Compress: Cold compress is one of the most common and useful ways to get rid of burn. The first thing you should do when you get a minor burn is run cool (not cold) water over the burn area for about 20 minutes. Then wash the burned area with mild soap and water. A cool compress or clean wet cloth placed over the burn area helps relieve pain and swelling. You can apply the compress in 5- to 15-minute intervals. Do not apply eyes directly to it.

Petroleum jelly: A strict no to ointments, toothpaste or butter to the burn, as these may cause an infection and these are mostly used in our home but it can cause the burn more adverse. Do not apply topical antibiotics.

Avoid from Sun:  After the burn heals, protect the area from the sun by seeking shade, wearing protective clothing or applying a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.  Otherwise it will adverse your fire burn.This will help minimize scarring, as the redness from a burn sometimes persists for weeks.

Apply Aloe vera:  Aloe vera is used for treating various skin and hair related problems. Aloe vera Aloe  is often touted as the “burn plant.”  Aloe vera is effective in healing first- to second-degree burns. Aloe is anti-inflammatory, promotes circulation, and inhibits the growth of bacteria. Apply a layer of pure aloe vera gel taken from the leaf of an aloe vera plant directly to the affected area.

Antibiotic or Pain reliever: If your pain is extreme and you are not able to get rid of it then Use an over the counter antibiotic ointment or cream like Neosporin or Bacitracin to prevent infection of the burn. After applying the product, cover the area with a cling film or a sterile dressing or cloth. If your burn is causing you pain that is not improved with a cold compress, you can take over the counter pain relievers. Ibuprofen or Naproxen are your best bets. You can also have pain reliever.
