570 Sarpanches elected unopposed in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, 570 Sarpanches have been elected unopposed in the three-tier Panchayat elections. There are 380 women and 190 men. The 79-year-old man from Sagar has become the oldest Sarpanch. Three 21-year-old women from Bhopal, Sagar and Narmadapuram have become Sarpanches unopposed. In Madhya Pradesh, Friday was the last day of withdrawal of nominations in the three-tier Panchayat elections. Along with this, there has been good news of unopposed elections from many places without the noise and stakes. According to the State Election Commission, 570 Sarpanches were elected unopposed in 48 districts. There are 380 women. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had appealed to the people to hold elections to the Samras Panchayat i.e. unopposed. For this, an award was also announced by the government. It has announced to give Rs 15 lakh to the Panchayat for electing women.

The highest number of 34 Sarpanches in Seoni unopposed:- 2 from Sheopur, 6 from Morena, 7 from Bhind, 7 from Gwalior, 2 from Datia, 16 from Shivpuri, 9 from Guna, 9 from Ashok Nagar, 46 from Sagar, 1 from Chhatarpur, 7 from Damoh, 6 from Panna, 2 from Satna, 3 from Rewa, 2 from Sidhi, 2 from Singrauli, 4 from Shahdol, 1 from Anuppur, 2 from Umaria, 5 from Katni, 34 from Jabalpur, 2 from Dindori, 9 from Balaghat, 34 from Seoni, 20 from Narsinghpur, 30 from Chhindwara, 4 from Betul, 35 from Harda, 51 from Narmadapuram, 37 from Raisen, 17 from Vidisha, 1 from Bhopal, 33 from Sehore, 3 from Rajgarh, 4 from Agar Malwa, 7 from Shajapur, 19 from Dewas, 10 from Khandwa, 10 from Khandwa, 5 from Burhanpur, 5 from Khargone, 4 from Barwani, 5 from Alirajpur, 2 from Jhabua, 20 from Dhar, 14 from Indore, 12 from Ratlam, 5 from Mandsaur, 8 from Neemuch have been elected unopposed.

The 79-year-old became the oldest unopposed Sarpanch in Sagar:- 79-year-old Ramrani, a scheduled caste member of Vachlon Gram Panchayat of Rahli Janpad Panchayat of Sagar district, has become the oldest unopposed Sarpanch. 21-year-old Janaki Gond of the Scheduled Tribe category has been elected unopposed from Deori Naharmau, gram Panchayat of Kesli Janpad Panchayat of Sagar district. Krishna Rawat, a 21-year-old OBC woman, has also been elected unopposed from Adampur gram Panchayat of Phanda Janpad Panchayat in Bhopal. Besides, 21-year-old Kumari Jagriti Singh Judeo of Scheduled Tribe has been elected unopposed from Umardha, gram Panchayat of Bankhedi Janpad Panchayat in Narmadapuram district.
