Pakistan: A big disclosure in the autopsy report, says, 'Hindu student was raped before the murder'

ISLAMABAD: The last autopsy report of a Hindu medical student, who was found dead in mysterious circumstances in September in her room at a university hostel in Pakistan, has been revealed. According to the autopsy report, the student was raped before the murder. The body of Nimrita Kumari was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room in the hostel of Shaheed Mohatrama Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SBBMU) in Larkana on 16 September.

She was a last-year student of the university's Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program. The final autopsy report was released by Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) of Larkana. According to CMCH Women Medico-Legal Officer Dr. Amrita, Nimrita died of suffocation. At the same time, a DNA test revealed that there was male DNA in the body of the deceased. The remains of semen were found on the clothes of the deceased. Along with this, the rape of the victim has also been confirmed.

This autopsy report has justified the claims of Vishal's brother Vishal. Vishal had spoken of killing his sister. According to her, Nimrita was neither depressed nor worried about her life, which led her to take suicide-like steps. After large-scale protests over the incident, the Sindh province government of Pakistan ordered a judicial enquiry into the matter. Further investigation into the murder is under the supervision of Larkana District and Sessions Judges on the instruction of Sindh High Court (SHC).
