Chandigarh: A woman was kidnapped and kept in a Rajasthan village for 36 days and gang-raped several times when she had gone to collect fodder from a field in Haryana's Nuh. Giving information about the case, the police have said that the accused was released after the family of the woman paid a ransom of Rs 3 lakh to them. The accused also allegedly made an obscene video of the woman, police said. According to the complaint lodged by the 45-year-old victim at Punhana police station here, on July 27, she had gone to collect fodder from the field when three car-borne men kidnapped her at gunpoint. According to the complaint, the accused took her to a village in Rajasthan and locked her in a room in a house. After which the accused, after drugging the woman, made an obscene video of her and gang-raped her several times. The complaint given to the police states that they released the victim on September 1 after the woman's family paid Rs 3 lakh to the accused in return for not putting her video on the internet. Nuh SP Varun Singla has said, 'FIR has been registered on the basis of the complaint and we are investigating the facts. Action will be taken as per law.'
