Lucknow: The body of a young woman has been found in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday, the body of a young woman was recovered from a pit in the Lohta police station area. Blood was oozing out of her mouth, as well as injury marks were also seen on her body. According to the police, the girl was assaulted and murdered. The incident took place in Anandpur village under the Lohta police station area.

The body of a 22-year-old woman was found on the ring road near the village on Saturday morning. The body was lying face down in the pit. Blood was oozing out of her mouth and there were several injury marks on her body. The young woman had Vijay written on her left hand. According to the police, the girl was murdered and the body dumped here. It is also suspected that the girl was murdered on the side of Ring Road. Police have found liquor bottles, namkeen packets and several other items around the body. Seeing the body of the young woman, it seems that she has been assaulted.  

As soon as the matter was reported, Additional SP Neeraj Pandey and CO Sadar, Lohta police reached the spot. At the same time, the forensic team is collecting evidence. Police have sent the body for post-mortem.
