Lucknow: A case of murder of a man with an axe has come to light on Monday in the Month police station area of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Police have told that information was received this morning regarding the murder of a resident of Summa Adivasi (50) near Rawatiana Shahpur bus stand in the Month police station area. On getting the information, the police team immediately reached the spot. On the spot, Rajesh Adivasi, the son of the deceased was questioned, in which he told that his father had a dispute with the neighbour Santosh Adivasi 5-6 days ago. When the police should go to Santosh's house and get information, the accused's house was found to have traces of blood. During the search, a bloodied axe was also found in Santosh's house. An attempt was made to erase evidence by washing the axe. On being informed about the incident, Varsthi along with Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shivhari Meena, Superintendent of Police Rural (SPRA) Naipal Singh and other officials rushed to the spot. A forensic team and dog squad along with the police also reached the spot for investigation. A team was immediately formed to nab the accused. The SSP said that the police had received information about the murder of Summa Adivasi in The Maonth police station area. The murder has come to light on suspicion of nazi relations. After the spot inspection, the son of the deceased told about the accused. After this, the axe used in the murder has been recovered from the house of the accused. In this prompt action of the police, the accused Santosh was arrested. The accused confessed to having committed the murder during interrogation. Further legal action is being taken in the matter.
