Now the beneficiaries of this scheme can get financial assistance up to Rs 15 lakh under the National Arogya Nidhi (RAN) scheme for the treatment of such diseases, which cost more and which are not covered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Steps on complaint of poor patients The Union Health Ministry has taken this initiative on the complaint of poor patients. Many poor patients struggling with the same fatal diseases were complaining that they are not getting benefits under RAN due to being a beneficiary of Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY). In addition, this memorandum has been sent to all government hospitals, all regional cancer centers, health secretaries of all states, Department of Expenditure and the National Health Authority (NHA). The memorandum sent along with the revised guidelines states, "According to the Medical Advice, if any treatment is not covered in AB-PMJAY, then the beneficiaries of this scheme provided financial assistance up to Rs. 15 lakhs under the RAN scheme. Also, the memorandum states that in such circumstances the beneficiary should be given in writing on behalf of the concerned government hospital that his illness is not covered under AB-PMJAY. Is. In such a situation the patient may be entitled to receive financial assistance under the RAN. The same AIIMS and NHA wrote a letter to the Ministry of Health and said that the beneficiaries of AB-PMJAY who do not get treatment through this scheme, can be covered under the RAN scheme.
