UP- Akhilesh Yadav and party candidate Dimple Yadav cast their votes in Mainpuri

Lucknow: Voting is underway for mainpuri, Rampur and Khatauli assembly by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav and party candidate Dimple Yadav cast their votes in Mainpuri. Addressing a press conference after casting his vote, Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the BJP was creating a ruckus by wearing a red cap of SP.

Reacting to the BJP delegation's meeting with the Election Commission, Akhilesh said it was a sham. If you are complaining, let's see what action the Election Commission takes. We have to believe. Earlier also, false cases were filed against those who went to complain. In Mainpuri, the force has been catching SP workers for three days. The police are trying not to allow SP supporters to cast thier votes. At the same time, Dimple Yadav also sought the intervention of the Election Commission on this occasion. He said similar tactics will be adopted in 2024. People should be vigilant.

Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the complaint was not from Mainpuri alone. In Rampur, voters are being beaten up. That seems to be why the policemen have been deployed. In Rampur, there is a demand for the army as well. Videos are coming in which the police officials are scouting voter's. Akhilesh said that the guidelines of the Election Commission are not that you give freedom to the police to scouting voter's. Those who have IDs are also being returened without casting vote. Akhilesh Yadav said that if the police beat up in this way, then how will there be a fair election.
