Akhilesh's visit to Rampur in support of land mafia Azam Khan

Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav is arriving in Rampur on Friday. Even before he reached Rampur, the administration has made strong security arrangements in the district. Akhilesh, meanwhile, is adamant on staying at Azam Khan's resort, while the administration has written him a letter forbidding him to do so. The administration has made arrangements for his stay at the PWD guest house, but Akhilesh has refused to stay there.

Akhilesh Yadav of the party will be staying in Bareilly and Rampur from Friday to Sunday, amid increasing number of cases against SP leader and MP from Rampur Lok Sabha seat Azam Khan. On Friday, he will pay homage to the relatives of former MLA Siyaram Sagar in Bareilly. After leaving from here, he will reach Rampur at around 5 pm. After addressing party workers at Rampur's Rangoli pavilion, Akhilesh was scheduled to stay at the same Humsafar Resort at night.

Akhilesh will meet a delegation of religious leaders, municipal presidents, lawyers and women on Saturday. Akhilesh will also know the condition of those people in the resort, who say that the police have tortured them. The Rampur District Magistrate has said that security has been tightened around the guest house so that no dispute arises.
