All Israelis must leave Ukraine immediately, the Israeli PM Naftali Bennett urges

Prior to a probable escalation with Russia, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett advised all Israelis to leave Ukraine "as soon as possible." At the weekly cabinet meeting, Bennett said, "I urge on Israelis in Ukraine to return home."

"Don't take any risks that aren't absolutely required. Do not wait until you are in a situation where you really want to return but are unable to. Take responsibility for your life and get out of Ukraine as soon as possible "Bennett told the press. "Like the rest of the world, we wish for a peaceful outcome to the situation," he added. "However, our first and foremost responsibility is to care for our Israeli citizens," he stressed.

On Sunday, Israel stepped up its efforts to assist Israelis fleeing the east European nation. To accommodate persons who wanted to leave, Israeli airlines boosted flights from Ukraine to Israel. In a statement, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid announced that 32 flights are scheduled for the following week. He went on to say, "I call Israeli citizens to get aboard these flights."

Israel began evacuating Israeli diplomats and diplomatic workers from Kiev over the weekend. It also issued a travel advisory, urging Israeli citizens to leave the country.
