Andhra Pradesh: Formula Three (F3) racing track construction in Anantapur district

Anantapur: A 3.4 km formula three (F3) racing track is being developed in Kotapalli village in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. Bangalore-based Nidhi Mark One Motors is developing an area of 219 acres, accommodating the resort.

The ₹100 crore resort, planned with a wellness centre and a golf course in 50 acres, is committed to bringing in a large number of tourists," said Regional Director (Tourism) B. Iswaraiah told the publication. The second phase will also be developed and will help provide employment opportunities for 150 to 200 people in the entire project area.

Racing track is also used by automobile manufacturers for test purposes. Although the F3 circuit racing car has a speed of 250 kms, it has struts and high-speed corners at a height of 40 meters.

The Tourism Department has submitted a proposal to the Central Government to allow Rayalaseema heritage circuit in Anantapur-Kadapa-Kurnool districts. The circuit covers the Lepakshi and Tadipatri temples in Anantapur, Penukonda and Guti Forts and Belam Caves in Kurnool District, Mahanandi and Ahobilam and Gandikota Fort and Valleys in Kadapa.
