USA: Apple-owned Dark Sky Weather app, which was acquired in 2021, will be shut down soon. Exactly on January 1, 2023. Apple created new support document to prevent Dark Sky users from switching to any other third-party app. Since purchasing Dark Sky, Apple has been incorporating some of the app's features into its default Weather app. The various dark sky features that can now be accessed through the Weather app are described in detail by Apple in a support document. The document also includes instructions for Dark Sky users on how to use the Weather app's features and interface. The app also provides 10 day forecast with hourly updates. The app can show full-screen, high-resolution maps of temperature, precipitation and air quality. The move from Dark Sky to Apple Weather has angered some users. Reddit is where users have gone to complain about the Weather app, according to 9to5mac.
