Khelo India Archery Player Injured During Practice Session

Guwahati: 'Khelo India' Youth Games is going to begin on January 10 in Guwahati, the capital of Assam. For this, the players participating in various events are excited and are engaged in rigorous practice. One of these players may not know that he will be injured and hospitalized before the start of the Games.

Shivangini Gohain, a 12-year-old archer from Assam, was injured during an arrow hit in her throat during practice. Gohain has been admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi for treatment. According to the news agency ANI, the incident occurred while she was practicing for competitions in Chhabua, Dibrugarh, Assam on Thursday, a day before the Khelo India Games.

During practice, an arrow suddenly hit Gohain's neck. In a hurry, the archer was taken to a local hospital for treatment. According to the news agency, Dr. V Aggarwal has told that in this regard, an arrow was inserted in the neck of Shivangini Gohain. Gohain has been referred to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi after first aid. Currently, Gohain's condition is said to be stable.
