Kolkata: CM Mamata Banerjee, who was fighting to save power in West Bengal, played a big card on the last day of campaigning for the second phase. Mamata Banerjee declared her gotra from the stage, after which the politics of Bengal has once again become warm. Now AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has attacked Mamata Banerjee in a tweet and said what about those who are not Shandilya? Owaisi responded to CM Mamata Banerjee's statement by writing that, "What about those who are not Shandilya or Janeudhari, are those not devotees of any God or do not do any recitation or Chalisa?" Owaisi further wrote that every party feels that it is necessary to show themselves as Hindu to win the election. It is against the rules, abusive, and is not going to succeed. Asaduddin Owaisi's party AIMIM is also contesting elections in Bengal, on Wednesday, Owaisi will hold a rally in Bengal. Actually, yesterday was the last day of the second phase of campaigning in Bengal and in this phase voting is to be held in Nandigram, from where Mamata Banerjee herself is in the election field. At the last publicity rally, Mamata Banerjee said that although her gotra is Shandilya, she always declares her gotra as Ma Mati Manush. What should happen to people like me who aren?t Shandilya or Janeudhari, aren?t bhakts of certain gods, don?t recite Chalisa or any Path? Every party feels that it has to show its Hindu credentials to win. Unprincipled, insulting & unlikely to succeedhttps://t.co/FwbuEITnrb ?
