Travelers have to return within 96 hours to avoid quarantine, government issues order

Guwahati: The government has made some amendments to the guidelines on corona epidemic on Friday. Assam Health Department has said that if a person returns from the yatra in 96 hours, he will not be quarantined. That is, if a person goes out of the state and returns in 96 hours, it will not be mandatory to remain quarantine.

However, he will have to undergo rapid antigen test and follow the prescribed procedure if found infected. The Assam government has taken another major decision on Friday. The government has asked for a funeral of 5000 on the death of the patient from corona virus infection. If someone dies from the corona and his kin refuses to take the body or is unable to afford the funeral, five thousand rupees will be provided in such a case.

The school, college, educational and coaching institutes have also been closed till 30th September in unlock-4 by the Government of Assam. Online and distance learning activities are allowed to continue. In addition, 50% of teachers can come to school, so that students can be provided with online education material. At the same time, students from 9th to 12th can go to school to meet teachers for study related information.
