Kolkata: Bengal BJP unit president Dilip Ghosh has declared that "Corona is over". Dilip Ghosh was addressing supporters at a rally in Hooghly, during which he has made this sensational claim. Pleased with the crowd gathered to listen to him, Dilip Ghosh said, "Didi's brothers are feeling sick seeing the crowd here. Not out of the fear of the corona but the fear of the BJP! The corona is over! Didi putting a lockdown unnecessarily so that the BJP does not hold meetings and rallies."

Dilip Ghosh further said in his speech that, "Friends, wherever we go, it automatically turns into a rally." Dilip Ghosh's remarks related to the corona pandemic came at a time when 95,735 new cases of corona have been reported in India within 24 hours. There were 3107 new reports in Bengal on Wednesday and 53 Corona patients died in the state. For the last several weeks, about three thousand cases are being reported daily in the state.

So far 3,730 people have lost their lives in the state, while the total number of corona infected has reached 1.9 lakh. In the district where Ghosh was addressing his public rally, has the fifth-largest number of cases in West Bengal.
