New Delhi: Foreign ministers of India and China have held talks in the Russian capital Moscow amid the ongoing standoff between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). A five-point consensus has been reached in this important meeting amid continued tension over LAC since May. Bjp MP Subramaniam Swamy has raised questions over the consensus.

In fact, India's ambassador to China Vikram Mistry had tweeted a tweet detailing the consensus. On Mistry's tweet, Subramaniam Swamy replied, "Can you please translate this joint statement into simple English so that I know whether the Chinese soldiers have agreed to withdraw from the occupied areas of LAC in Ladakh from 1993 or from April 18, 2020? Disengagement does not mean restoring the status quo.

Earlier in Moscow, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar made it clear that India does not want to further escalate the ongoing standoff over LAC. India believes that There has been no change in India's policy for China and China's policy towards India. The Chinese Foreign Ministry also said that as two neighbouring countries, There is disagreement between China and India on some issues on the border, but that is natural. The essential fact is that solving those disagreements must be seen in the right perspective.
