Ranchi: On the question of getting MBBS studies in Hindi, Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta attacked BJP. He said that by calling everything nationalism, Hindi, they (BJP) are doing the work of throwing dust in the eyes of the people. Their intention is so good that they should open medical colleges in our 24 districts. In fact, like countries like Ukraine, Russia, Japan, China, Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines, medical education in India will now be taught in the mother tongue.

Meanwhile, on Friday, the Jharkhand cabinet approved a proposal to lease 5.5 acres of land in Ranchi for a super speciality hospital to be built by the Central Coalfields Limited (CCL). Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel informed that the land in the Kanke area will be given on lease with the option of renewal for a period of 30 years on payment of Rs 12.82 crore.

The same state cabinet has also given its approval to Jharkhand Ethanol Production Promotion Policy 2022. The official said that 25 agendas brought before the cabinet was allowed. The cabinet also approved the proposal to provide a compassionate job to the mother of constable Ganesh Handa, who was martyred in Galwan Valley on 16 June 2020. The cabinet also approved the proposal for the appointment of 143 teaching and non-teaching staff in five colleges under Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) at Hazaribagh. A unified digital database of all the beneficiaries of state and central government schemes will soon be created in Jharkhand. In this regard, a project management unit will be set up by the Department of Information Technology and e-Governance. The cabinet also approved Rs 7 crore for the appointment of technical manpower for the project.
