Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra spoke to Union Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday, just before the latter's departure for the Slovak Republic to oversee the evacuation process, in order to continue his push for the immediate evacuation of Arunachal Pradesh's students from Ukraine. After the Governor's request, Rijiju asked Hardeep Puri, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and General V K Singh to ask Union Ministers Hardeep Puri, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and General V K Singh to provide all assistance to the Arunachali students stranded in the war-torn Ukraine, according to an official communiqué. In response to the Governor's plea for the three Arunachali students stuck in Ukraine to be returned to India, the External Affairs Ministry stated that all Indian embassies in the area are actively involved in the evacuation operations. Based on the situation on the ground, the embassies are releasing new advisories. According to the ministry, 24-hour control centres were established to aid with the evacuation of Indian people through border crossing points with Poland, Romania, Hungary, and the Slovak Republic.
