Before the counting of votes, CM Shivraj called an important cabinet meeting, what is happening to CS Iqbal's departure

Bhopal: CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has called the last cabinet meeting of his fourth term even before forming the government. This cabinet meeting is going to be held on November 30 amid the election code of conduct. The meeting has been called at 11:30 am. It has no agenda. For this meeting, invitations have been sent to the ministers as well as all the CS, PS and secretaries. There are speculations that ACS Iqbal Singh Bains may depart.

Reports say that voting for the assembly elections in the state has ended on 17th November. The results are to be declared on 3rd December. Before this, the CM has finally called a cabinet meeting on 30th November. There is a possibility that the old Chief Secretary may depart and a new Chief may be selected.

There may be a departure of the old Chief: Even before the assembly elections, news of the departure of the old Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains was being received. The date of extension of his tenure was also going to be completed on 30th November. Even before this, his tenure has been extended twice for 6 months each. But this time neither orders for his extension have come nor orders for the appointment of a new secretary have come. In such a situation, there is speculation that there is talk of his departure.

A new secretary may be considered: If Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains does not get an extension after this meeting, then his departure is certain. Along with this, the name of the new secretary can also be announced. If seen according to seniority in the state, Veera Rana's name is at the forefront. 1988 batch IAS Veera Rana is going to retire in 2024. Therefore, the discussion of making him CS is in full swing. If any government is formed after this, Veera Rana will remain the CS for the next 4 months. If Veera Rana becomes the Chief Secretary, then she will also be the second woman secretary to reach this post in the state. Before this, Late Nirmala was butch.

What does the CM do in the last meeting: Reports say that this is the last cabinet meeting being held in the fourth term of CM Shivraj government. Even though there is no agenda for this meeting, some traditions are followed in it. Apart from all the ministers, the state head i.e. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has called all the ACS, PS and secretaries. In this, the CM will congratulate and thank the officers for their good cooperation and support in the work done for the development of the state.
