Kolkata: The mutilated body of a 5-year-old boy was found in the Santiniketan area of West Bengal's Birbhum district on Tuesday (September 20, 2022). The child was missing since Sunday (September 18, 2022) morning. Now the child's body was found on the terrace of his neighbour Ruby Bibi's house. According to reports, when locals went to the terrace of neighbouring Ruby Bibi, they found the minor's body wrapped in tarpaulin. The child was murdered by slitting his throat. As soon as the news of the minor boy's body being found spread, angry villagers gathered outside Ruby Bibi's house and started protesting. The angry mob set Ruby's house on fire. The villagers accused the Bengal Police of negligence, claiming that they failed to trace the boy even after more than 50 hours of his disappearance. According to the information, a 5-year-old boy living in Talipara of Moldanga village under the Santiniketan police station area had gone to buy biscuits on Sunday (September 18, 2022) and did not return home. When he did not return home for a long time, his family got worried and started searching for him. They searched for him in the village and many nearby places, but could not find him. The police also could not trace the missing child. As more time passed, the anger of the local people began to increase. Accusing the West Bengal Police of negligence, locals blocked roads and highways demanding justice. Finally, on September 20, some villagers got suspicious when they saw a bag lying on the tin shed of Ruby Bibi's house. When they went there, they found the mutilated body of the minor wrapped in tarpaulin. He was murdered by slitting his throat. The locals immediately informed the police.
