UP: Minor gang-rape victim walks home, naked video goes viral

MORADABAD: In a horrific incidence,a video has gone viral on social media wherein a fifteen-year-old girl, walking in the street naked for about two kilometres on the Moradabad-Thakurdwara Road in order to get home after allegedly being abducted and gang-raped by five males.

Some bystanders are seen watching the girl without doing anything, while others recorded her and posted the terrible recordings on social media. The incident allegedly occurred two weeks ago, but the viral footage has now surfaced.

She was bleeding heavily when she arrived home and told us about the experience, said the girl's uncle. He then went to the police to make a complaint, but nothing was done until he brought the issue up in front of SSP Hemant Kutiyal, the district police chief. 

After filing a FIR on September 7, the police then acted and apprehended an accused.

The complainant also said in the FIR that the accused's relatives had made death threats against him.

As er Moradabad police, the girl was abducted by five guys who raped her alternately as they held her captive while she was on her way to a fair in a nearby hamlet. A villager ran to the scene after hearing her screams, but the five accused had already gone and taken her clothes and other items.

Sandeep Kumar Meena, a second rural superintendent of police, stated, "Under the POCSO Act and Section 376D (gangrape), an FIR has been filed. On September 15, we detained one of the defendants. Further investigation is on."
