In his statement, Harsimrat Kaur Badal said, "It is regrettable that the 4.5 km long construction work of The Kartarpur Corridor has been halted for the last 10 days due to artificial shortage of sand and gravel produced by the sand mafia. The punk tax collected by prominent Congress leaders at different places along the banks of the river has skyrocketed the price of sand and gravel. This makes it impossible for the company to build the corridor to complete the project.
