81-year-old man wins the battle for life against Corona

Patna: Many people are becoming victims of deadly coronavirus. However, 81 years Gopinath Dakua of Kandhamal district has defeated the Corona and issued a vision of his strong morale. He has now returned home after 15 days of struggle. The postman thanked the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff employed in the treatment.

Gopinath of Lower Indragada village in Raikia block of Kandhamal district had an air-javan in the hotel near Ganjam and Kandhamal border. But he was feeling unwell. He got treatment for influenza and cough at local health center. Where his health did not recover and he saw corona symptoms. On June 18, he was admitted to the temporary medical camp set up at the local Kalinga Model Residential School. Here the doctors tested him and found the report positive.

When no change has been seen in his health, he was referred to Phulwani Corona Hospital on 4 July 2020. Gradually he started recovering, now he has been sent home from the hospital. Before being discharged from the hospital, doctors, nurses and staff gave him bouquets. He also thanked the Odisha government after leaving the hospital.
