During this time, a secret information was given to the flying squad that there were lakhs of rupees in a car parked in Sadaqat Ashram. On learning about this, the team immediately took action and took the money in their possession. Information about this was also given to the Income Tax Department.

At the same time, the Income Tax team reached the Sadaqat Ashram, questioned the party leaders present there, but no one said anything. There are reports that when the team arrived here at the Sadaqat Ashram office, Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala, in-charge Shakti Singh Gohil and many other leaders were present. On the other hand, sources have been told that an income tax team was questioning the party leaders inside, while the other team was guarded outside the gate. Before starting the investigation, Income Tax officials had locked the gate of Sadaqat Ashram.
