Delhi Assembly Election: BJP announces candidates' names, also gives ticket to rebel MLA of AAP

New Delhi: Delhi BJP unit president Manoj Tiwari has announced the names of 57 candidates on Friday. The rebel MLA of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Kapil Mishra has been given ticket by BJP from Model Town. Bijender Gupta will contest from Rohine seat. At the same time Rekha Gupta will try her luck from Shalimar Bagh, Suman Kumar Gupta Chandni Chowk. There are a total of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly. The names of 13 candidates have not been announced yet.

It is noteworthy that on February 8, votes will be cast on 70 assembly seats in Delhi. The process of filing nomination papers for the Delhi Assembly elections has started on Tuesday (January 14). The last date for filing nomination papers is 21 January. Candidates for all 70 seats have been declared by the AAP. The Congress has not yet announced the names of the candidates. All the 70 assembly seats in Delhi will be cast in a phase on February 8. The results of which will come on 11 February.

Let us tell you that in the 2015 elections in Delhi, 70 seats of the Aam Aadmi Party formed the government by occupying 67 seats and Arvind Kejriwal became the CM. BJP had won only 3 seats in this election. At the same time, the Congress could not get a single seat.
