BJP-JD(U) alliance to be sustained, Sushil Modi halts speculation

Patna: Amid alleged bitterness in the ruling NDA(BJP) and JD(U) links in Bihar, senior BJP leader and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi said here on Monday said that the next assembly elections will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

"Who would want to ride on the sinking boat of the grand alliance that is confined to just one seat of the Lok Sabha?" said Sushil Modi, who has said that the government has all the public welfare schemes. All of them will complete this government. The next assembly election will be contested under the chairmanship of Nitish Kumar under the alliance. No one should have doubts about it.  "Today, on the 17th day, he did not reach the House. What is the reason, sick or something else?'

Earlier, while BJP Legislative Councillor Sachidanda Rai had advocated severing ties with the JDU, Union Minister Giriraj Singh also attacked CM Nitish Kumar in gestures. On Sunday, JD(U) leader Pawan Verma also made a scathing remark against the BJP.
