BJP preparing to win Owaisi's bastion, made these 'master plans'

Hyderabad: BJP has prepared a 'master plan' to put a dent in MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi's stronghold. The Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat has been ruled by the Owaisi family for the past 30 years. Owaisi has been an MP from this seat since 2004. The Congress last won the seat in 1984. Telangana BJP unit president K Laxman has given a target of 5 lakh new members to the party leaders. If these targets are met, the BJP will be able to strengthen its presence in several elections, including the Municipality.

The BJP is currently running a membership drive. This membership campaign will continue until August 20. The Executive Meeting organised by the Telangana BJP was attended by Union Minister of State for Home, G. Kishan Reddy and former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya also attended. The meeting was held to review the party's membership campaign. Laxman said there is a need to increase the number of members in the city of Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State for Home Kishan Reddy said, "BJP President Amit Shah will also take note of how many people are joining the BJP here. That's why we should keep this in mind and push the membership campaign forward with loud noise. Earlier, he had said that after Karnataka in South India, the BJP government in Telangana should now be formed. Telangana is in favour of the BJP and we should take advantage of it."
