BJP MLA Devendra Pratap Singh in UP dies of heart attack

Kasganj: Ruling BJP MLA from Amapur assembly segment Devendra Pratap Singh died following a massive heart attack on Monday morning. He was 59 years old. . Mr. Singh is the sixth BJP MLA who died in the recent past. Though the other five legislators including a state minister succumbed to Corona. As per family source info, the MLA was preparing to leave for his assembly constituency from his house at 0700 hrs when he complained of chest pain. He was rushed to the Etah district hospital, but doctors pronounced him brought dead. After getting information about the demise of the BJP MLA, party leaders rushed to his residence to pay homage. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath talked to the family members of the MLA on phone and expressed his condolence. In the first wave of Covid 19 last year, two UP ministers and BJP MLAs Chetan Chauhan and Ms. Kamla Rani Varun died due to the virus. Three MLAs too, two of BJP and one of SP died in the first wave.
