BJP National Convention Highlights: Ram Temple Inauguration and New Era

New Delhi: The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony and the grand opening of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, as emphasized by BJP national president JP Nadda during Day 2 of the party's national convention, marked the dawn of a new era. Nadda hailed the event as a national festival, resonating globally, and symbolizing the onset of a transformative phase in the country.

Reflecting on the significance of the Ram Temple inauguration on December 22 last year, Nadda underscored it as the realization of a long-standing aspiration of the BJP. He noted the rapid progress in construction following the Supreme Court's landmark judgment in the Ram Janmabhoomi case in 2019 and the subsequent formation of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra by the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

The ongoing deliberations at the national convention aim to fortify the party's strategy and energize its cadres ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. PM Modi and Nadda are slated to chair a meeting of the Chief Minister's Council comprising BJP-ruled states, enhancing coordination within the party leadership.

Before his address, Nadda, accompanied by PM Modi, Union Ministers, and other party dignitaries, observed a moment of silence to honor the departed Jain seer Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, emphasizing his significant contributions.

Addressing the demise of the revered Jain seer, Nadda highlighted his profound impact and offered condolences, noting his birth in Karnataka's Belagavi Tehsil in 1946. During the convention's inaugural session, PM Modi emphasized the BJP's commitment to its ideological roots, citing the significance of Article 370 and its tribute to party founder Syama Prasad Mukherjee. Additionally, a political resolution was passed condemning the violent crackdown on Opposition protests in West Bengal's Sandeshkhali, addressing alleged excesses on women.
