BJP national executive to meet on Sunday, upcoming assembly Poll focus

New Delhi:: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called a national executive meeting for Sunday to discuss the recent bypoll results and the strategy for the Assembly elections in five states early next year. "The meeting will be chaired by national president JP Nadda, and leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be present," BJP general secretary Arun Singh said.

The meeting will be held at the New Delhi Municipal Committee Center, with 124 members in attendance, some via video conference. Leaders and chief ministers from other states have not been summoned to Delhi due to COVID-19 protocols, and will instead participate in the meeting via video conference. The five-hour meeting will begin at 10 a.m., with JP Nadda delivering the opening speech and PM Modi delivering the closing remarks. The agenda for the upcoming assembly elections in Punjab, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Goa will be discussed at the meeting.
