New Delhi: BJP Lok Sabha MP Parvesh Verma has demanded the transfer of Delhi's Arvind Kejriwal government minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain from Tihar jail to a jail in Haryana or Uttar Pradesh. After the letter of Mahathug Sukesh Chandrashekhar came out, Parvesh Verma accused Satyendra Jain of making Tihar Jail a hub of extortion. BJP MP Parvesh Verma also demanded that Jain be shifted to a jail in any state except the AAP-ruled state of Punjab. The BJP MP said that if Deputy CM Manish Sisodia gets arrested in the liquor scam, as claimed by CM Arvind Kejriwal, then he should also not be kept in any jail in Delhi. Verma said that AAP leaders have accused the BJP many times about Operation Lotus, but so far no phone number nor any address has been given. However, Sukesh Chandrasekhar alleged that not only the phone number but also the car number and place have been written in his letter. The BJP MP said Satyendar Jain is a minister against whom the inquiry is being conducted by those who have been appointed by him. The Delhi BJP on Monday demanded a CBI probe into the claim of jailed conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, saying he had paid crores of rupees in bribes to the AAP. Delhi BJP unit president Adesh Gupta also demanded that jailed AAP minister Satyendar Jain be shifted from Delhi to jail in Uttar Pradesh or Haryana. Satyendar Jain is lodged in Tihar Jail in connection with a money laundering case registered by the Enforcement Directorate. Adesh Gupta said Chandrashekhar has claimed that he had given Rs 10 crore to Jain, the then jail minister in the Kejriwal government, for his security in jail. Sukesh has also said that he gave Rs 50 crore to AAP for a Rajya Sabha seat as well. A CBI inquiry should be conducted into these allegations. Adesh Gupta said that the party delegation will soon meet Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena to get Chandrashekhar's claims probed by the CBI. Will WB be divided into two parts?
