Rajasthan: BJP staged a dharna to protest against the government

Dungarpur: In Dungarpur district, BJP workers staged a dharna outside the collectorate office outside the state's Gehlot government after the BJP called for a statewide dharna against the Congress government in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the protesters called on the state government to fail to bring the deteriorating law and order situation in the province back on track.

Meanwhile, BJP workers shouted slogans against the government. The protest was led by BJP state vice-president Chunni Lal Garcia. During the programme, State Vice President Chunni Lal Garcia said that there has been an increase in the incidents of harassment against Dalits and women in the state. He said, there is a fear psychosis and criminals are unafraid of acts like loot, dacoity, murder and rape across the state.

He said, in just eight months of the change of power in the state, all development work has come to a standstill and employment crisis has been created for the lower strata. Former minister Sushil Katara also made several allegations against the Congress government in the state. After the dharna held at the district headquarters, a memorandum was submitted to the caretaker collector in the name of the Governor, led by BJP District President Velji Patidar.
