New Delhi: After the shocking claim of Pakistani journalist Nusrat Mirza, who visited India at the invitation of the then Vice-President Hamid Ansari during the UPA regime, a series of reactions have started in India. In this sequence, the BJP has raised many questions, taking on the Congress. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said, "Not only should the Congress clarify what was its policy on terrorism but also answer why the former Vice President had invited the Pakistani journalist five times.'' In a YouTube interview, senior Pakistani journalist Nusrat Mirza recently claimed that he visited India several times between 2005 and 2011 and from here he gathered intelligence inputs and conveyed it to the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. He has also said that he was invited to visit India about five times by the then Vice President Hamid Ansari. At that time, there were 56 Muslim MPs in India, who were her (Nusrat Mirza's) helpers. At the same time, they were allowed to travel to cities more than the usual permission. Following this statement, the BJP on Wednesday said that the Congress party should clarify what was its policy of countering terrorism. Why was the Pakistani journalist invited to India five times by the Vice President? Addressing the media, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that we should keep in mind that the post of Vice President is constitutional and there are many issues which he cannot share as they relate to the security of the country.
