Hyderabad: The BJP has already started gearing up for next year's Assembly elections in Telangana. The party is running several programmes to make its presence felt before the elections. From the national executive meeting scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on July 2-3, PM Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah are scheduled to take part in the state-related events. The Telangana unit of the BJP also seems to be quite upbeat and the party says they are ready for the polls from now on, even though the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) continues to push the elections this time too like last time. On Tuesday, PM Modi met with 46 corporators of BJP's Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in New Delhi, following which PM Modi tweeted that the BJP will work towards "ending dynastic misrule in Telangana". While no official statement was issued in this meeting, PM Narendra Modi, during his recent visit to Hyderabad, had promised corporators that he would meet them in Delhi. During the two-day meeting to be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, there will also be a meeting of all the Chief Ministers and office bearers of the BJP-ruled states. The last time the BJP held a meeting of the National Executive was in Hyderabad in 2004.
