NEW DELHI: The BJP said on Thursday that Arvind Kejriwal's honesty certificate is a joke, as the Delhi Chief Minister continues to provide a clean chit and defend his Health Minister Satyendar Jain. According to Amit Malviya, head of the BJP's national information and technology department, Kejriwal recently welcomed Kodihalli Chandrashekhar into the AAP after the farmers' union fired him for seeking Rs 35 crore to end the KSRTC strike. Malviya wrote in a tweet: "Arvind Kejriwal recently inducted Kodihalli Chandrashekhar into the AAP. After a TV sting caught him requesting 35 crore to settle the KSRTC employees' strike, which he led in 2021, the same Chandrashekhar was expelled from the farmer's union this week. Kejriwal's certificate of honesty is a farce!" Chandrashekar had joined AAP in Bengaluru last month in the presence of Kejriwal, along with the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRSS) group led by him, to run in the Karnataka Assembly elections next year. Chandrashekhar was reportedly fired as the president of KRRS after a Kannada news channel aired an alleged sting operation in which he is purportedly seen requesting Rs 35 crore to settle the KSRTC employees' strike in April last year. Union Minister Smriti Irani slammed Kejriwal on Tuesday for giving a clean chit Jain, who had been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case. Kejriwal says, Country should be proud of Satyendar Jain; he should be given 'Padma Vibhushan' Why is Kejriwal supporting the traitors of the country?
