The young BJP leader, who was returning home from work, has died in the middle of the hospital after being stabbed. Police said the deceased was identified as Suraj Kumar Singh and aged 26 years and worked as general secretary of BJYM in a district in Jharkhand. Police said he succumbed to his injuries at Tata Main Hospital on Thursday morning. State BJP President Deepak Prakash alleged that criminals are ruling and committing crimes in the Hemant Soren-led Jhamumo government. Police said was stabbed by Sonu Singh and his accomplices at Harharguttu in Bagbera police station area on Tuesday when BJP leader Suraj was returning home. Senior Superintendent of Police M Tamil Vanan has said that there was a dispute between Suraj and Sonu over a piece of land. Police further informed that they have detained Sonu and 2 others along with a teenager. The official said that amidst interrogation, the criminal has told the police that Suraj had been obstructing the work since he became the district general secretary of the BJYM. While the police investigated, two accused have been sent to judicial custody by the court while the minor has been kept in a juvenile home. Politics is now gaining momentum on the case. State BJP President Deepak Prakash has said that law and order has collapsed in the state and criminals have become fearless. Deepak Prakash demanded compensation and job for a family member of the deceased. The deceased BJP leader Suraj's sister was scheduled to get married on December 12, 3 days before she lost her life.
