Kolkata: Several people were injured in a violent clash between two groups in West Bengal's Birbhum district, two of whom are in critical condition. The police have arrested 12 people in the case. During the bombing in this conflict, a young man lost his hand and leg. A police officer informed on Tuesday that the incident took place on Monday evening in Baharpur village under the Sainthia police station area. A country-made bomb was thrown in this conflict. Several other bombs were also recovered and defused before they exploded. According to the report, the BJP alleged that the clash took place between two local factions of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), while the ruling party denied the allegations, saying the clash was due to personal squabbles and it had nothing to do with politics. The official has informed that the injured were first taken to Siouri Hospital and from there two seriously injured people were sent to Burdwan Medical College and Hospital. The condition of both is still critical. TMC MLA from Siodi Vikas Choudhary said that the clash took place due to a local dispute. It has nothing to do with politics. It is alleged that the people of the Tushar Mandal faction have bombed. Both are associated with the ruling party TMC. Saddam has been admitted to Sainthia Primary Health Center in critical condition. The incident is of Baharapur village under Sainthia Phulur Panchayat. The police have said that after receiving information about the sudden bombardment from both sides in the afternoon, the police team that reached the spot saw Saddam lying in an injured state. He has been picked up and admitted to the hospital. The investigation has been intensified as to how the incident took place and who are the people involved.
