BTS V and Jimin receive death threats, ARMY asks HYBE to take action ahead of Busan Concert

BTS previously announced that the members will be temporarily focusing on their solo projects and carrying out group activities in June 2022. After the announcement, the BTS ARMY and the rest of the globe were left wondering when they will be able to see the septet performing as a unit once more. However, the group had a number of strategies in mind.

They were named the official public relations representative for the 2030 Busan World Expo shortly after that. The seven members have subsequently made the decision to exert every effort to support Busan in its bid to host the event, along with the assistance of their agency HYBE. This led to the announcement of a concert featuring the worldwide sensation. This would be their first concert in their homeland after the announcement in June and their latest after the ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - SEOUL’ in March.

Additionally, rumours that the performance was free were spreading as the parties involved discussed the show's venue and precise date. This gave the fans hope that they would see a BTS performance soon, and the potential elimination of ticket costs led to travel plans from all over the world.

TRIGGER WARNING:

However, on August 19, users of the fan community website Weverse reported seeing strange posts in which Jimin and V of BTS were threatened with death. The members' lives were in danger since the aforementioned posts discussed the concert's free portion. The same posts had pictures of guns on them, and the BTS ARMY feared for the K-pop stars' lives. They have requested that HYBE act right away and safeguard the security of their artists. The hashtags "HYBE TAKE ACTION ASAP," "PROTECT TAEHYUNG," and others started trending on Twitter.

HYBE or its subsidiary BigHit MUSIC which manages BTS is yet to respond.
