Bumrah included in ODI squad for Sri Lanka series

MUMBAI: The All-India Senior Selection Committee has included pacer Jasprit Bumrah in India's ODI squad for the upcoming 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Due to a back ailment, Bumrah has not played cricket since September 2022 and was disqualified from the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The National Cricket Academy has deemed the bowler fit after he underwent rehabilitation (NCA). The BCCI announced in a statement on Tuesday that he would shortly be joining the Team India ODI team. The ODI series will start in Guwahati on January 10. Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram will host the remaining matches in the series.

India’s updated squad for Sri Lanka ODIs are as follows: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan , Hardik Pandya (VC), Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh.
