A piece of good news has come out for the Indian cricket team. Indian team's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has returned. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has included Bumrah in the squad for the 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Let us tell you that the Indian team has to play three T20 and 3 ODI series against Sri Lanka in their own home. The first will be the T20 series, whose first match will be played on Tuesday (January 3) i.e. Today. After that, a series of 3 ODIs will be played. These three ODIs will be played on 10, 12, and 15 January.
The same 29-year-old Jasprit Bumrah was away from the cricketing world since September 2022 due to a back injury. He didn't even play in the T20 World Cup played in Australia. He was since then at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for rehab. But now NCA has declared him fit. Now he will join the Indian team for the ODI series. Jasprit Bumrah played the last match on 25 September 2022 against Australia in the Hyderabad T20 match. In this match, Bumrah had given 50 runs and could not take any wickets. Thereafter, Bumrah was the first to be ruled out of the Asia Cup due to a back stress fracture. He was then selected for the squad for the T20 World Cup. But his injury flared up at the last minute, so he had to pull out. Then he has now returned.
