Central Bureau of Investigation or CBI has arrested six people in the murder of BJP leader Yogesh Gowda of Karnataka. Yogesh, a resident of Dharwad, was a member of the District Panchayat. According to media reports, officials said that Dinesh, Sunil, Nutan, Ashwath, Shahnawaz and Nazir Ahmed have been arrested in the case of Yogesh's murder. The CBI started investigating the case in September last year. The accused were produced before the special court on Monday, from where they were sent to five-day CBI custody. Apart from this, a CBI spokesperson said that, 'The agency arrested an accused on 20 November 2019. After questioning him, six accused have been arrested on 29 February 2020. The Karnataka police has filed a charge sheet against the six accused in the case on 9 September 2016. Let us tell you that Yogesh used to run a gym in Saptapura. He was assassinated on 15 June 2016. Basavaraja Shivappa Muttugi, the main accused in the murder, was Yogesh's friend earlier. Later there was a political rivalry between the two.
