Home Minister Amit Shah pays tribute to General Rawat, Rahul Gandhi also attends

A final farewell will be given to 13 army personnel including CDS Bipin Rawat who lost their lives in the helicopter crash today. The mortal remains of Brigadier LS Lidder were cremated this morning itself. The bodies of CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat have been brought to their house and Home Minister Amit Shah has reached and paid homage to them. On the other hand, several people including NSA Ajit Doval, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Congress leader Harish Singh Rawat, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Bajpai rushed to his house to pay their last respects to the mortal remains of CDS Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also visited CDS Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat's residence for their last glimpse and paid homage to them. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal paid homage to CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat. BJP National President J P Nadda also paid homage to CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat. Union Minister Piyush Goyal paid homage to CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat.

Amidst all this, the Indian Air Force has issued a statement. The statement said: "A Tri-Service Court of Inquiry was constituted to investigate the cause of the tragic helicopter crash on December 8. The investigation will be completed expeditiously and the facts will come out. Till then baseless speculation can be avoided to respect the dignity of the deceased. "
