New Delhi: The central government abolished Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. On August 5. Due to which the special status got to the state is over. Also, the government divided the state into two union territories. Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh were made two separate union territories. This demand of Ladakh was for a long time. After this decision, Ladakh had a further demand that they should be declared as tribal areas. So that both their culture and land were saved from outsiders. Now reports are coming that the head ministries of the centre have agreed on this. The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, including the Union Home, Law and Tribal Affairs Ministry, has agreed to make Ladakh a tribal area. According to a senior official working in the commission, internal discussions have been held on September 4 between the ministries and representatives of the commission on the issue. He said that everyone has agreed to the proposal of giving tribal status to Ladakh. Adjustment to the various provisions of the Fifth and Sixth Schedule of the Constitution was discussed. A final decision in this regard will be taken on September 11. Demand to declare Ladakh as a tribal area has also been raised before. The Sixth Schedule of the Constitution calls for the administration of autonomous districts and regional councils for the tribal areas of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram after the formation of autonomous districts. The government said that even after the reorganization, the two Union Territories will have the same High Court.
