New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 10 expressed his gratitude to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on their Raising Day, which is celebrated on March 10 and thanked them for providing round-the-clock security at key locations. PM Modi said in a tweet, "Best wishes to all CISF members on their Raising Day. The CISF is an integral part of our security system. In important places, including critical and strategic infrastructure, they offer round-the-clock security. The Security force is known for its hard work and professional outlook," added PM Modi. Amit Shah, the union minister for housing and cooperation, sent congratulations on the CISF personnel's raising day and lauded their everlasting dedication to the security of the country. Amit Shah stated on his Twitter, "Warmest congratulations to the CISF employees on their raise day. They have played a key role in protecting India's vital infrastructure and public areas. I admire their steadfast devotion to the security of the nation". On March 10, 1969, an act of the Indian Parliament set up the CISF. Since that time, March 10 has become CISF Raising Day every year. This year the CISF will hold its annual Raising Day celebrations in Hyderabad on March 12. This will be the first time, according to officials, that the CISF would celebrate "Raising Day" outside of the national capital of New Delhi. The annual event will be conducted outside of Delhi for the first time, according to a senior CISF officer. It was previously hosted at a CISF facility in Ghaziabad, a suburb of Delhi. "The National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) in Hyderabad will celebrate the celebration this time. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, will attend as the main guest " he said.
