NEW DELHI: The 'Constitution (Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) Orders (Amendment) Bill, 2022' is expected to be tabled in the Rajya Sabha by the Central govoernment. The workings of the tribal affairs ministry and the railway ministry will also be discussed in the Upper House. Arjun Munda, the Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, will move the Bill forward to amend the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950, to remove the 'Bhogta' community from the list of Scheduled Castes in relation to Jharkhand, and the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950, to include certain communities in the lists of Scheduled Tribes in relation to the State for consideration. Munda will also make a motion to pass the bill. Ram Vichar Netam raised the issue of the working of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. The railway ministry's operations will also be discussed in the Upper House of Parliament. V. Muraleedharan, Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, will make a speech on government business for the week beginning March 21.
