Lucknow: The performance of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in the Uttar Pradesh elections this time was quite poor. The BSP has only one assembly seat in its account. After the defeat in the UP elections, BSP supremo Mayawati has now changed the leader of the party in the Lok Sabha. Mayawati has removed Ambedkar Nagar MP Ritesh Pandey from the post of party's leader in the Lok Sabha and replaced him with Girish Chandra Jatav as the party's new leader in the Lok Sabha.

Mayawati has made Ram Shiromani Verma the deputy leader while deciding to change the leader. At the same time, Sangeeta Azad has been made the Chief Whip. Ritesh Pandey's father Rakesh Pandey has been elected as an MLA from the SP. Let me tell you that in the past also, the BSP has changed its leader in the Lok Sabha. Earlier, Kunwar Danish Ali and Shyam Singh Yadav have been made the leaders of the party in the Lok Sabha. Girish Chandra Jatav is a Lok Sabha MP from Nagina in Bijnor. While Sangeeta Azad has been made the chief whip, earlier Girish Chandra Jatav was handling the responsibility of the party's main whip.

After the defeat in the UP elections, BSP supremo Mayawati had made a big statement saying that the Muslim community has made a mistake in choosing the right option. Taking advantage of this, the BJP has come back to power.
